Travel Inn Motel - Los Angeles

It's a budget motel what do you want or expect? It's great cheap and clean. Yes you probably can see its not in best area but you aren't going to get mugged so calm down. Parking lot is on the smaller side, could be a bit tough to park inside here with a box truck or trailer. My room was clean, it was about what I would expect from a cheap motel on the plus side each unit has its own air conditioning unit, so we could control it how ever we wanted. Again if you are expecting anything else or more for what yiu are paying then you'll just end up being disappointed and go complain to Google and yelp because you are to cheap to get a real 5 star hotel.

We were very happy to find such a excellent motel to stay in. The staff was very friendly. The rooms must of been just remodeled. Everything was perfectly clean and decorated really nice. We will always stay here it was the best.

We stayed at The Travel Inn for two weeks and we absolutely LOVED it! The couple that run it are very nice and when we first got to LA it was 8am and we had been driving all night. We called the hotel and explained our situation and they were great, telling us to come on down and check in early. When we got there the wife gave us a bottle of water, quickly checked us in and gave us our key. The room was Spotless, had a good clean smell. There was a small fridge, Satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, a VERY comfy bed, a shower that had great water pressure and hot water and a toliet that actually flushed. There were not very many outlets, but there were enough. The area may seem scary to some. I read a lot of reviews before we picked this hotel, all said the hotel was great but the area was sketchy. Honestly, that was not our experience. We met many kind people. The donut shop up the road is fabulous, there is an AWESOME buger joint that the local PD seems to frequent ( and the food is soooo good) There is a discount grocery market up the road that this very kind lady owns. The bus stops right in front of the hotel. We would most definitely stay here again!!!

My room was clean. I had a quiet night's sleep and I felt safe at this slightly off-street motel. It's hidden in the middle of an older residential part of town. I appreciated with small flower gardens on the property. If I'm in the area, I would have no problem staying there again. I wish there was a clock in the room, but this certainly wasn't a deal breaker.

We had a pleasant stay at this motel over the memorial day weekend. The room we had was the "premium" room which came with the mini fridge, microwave, hair dryer and what I would consider upgraded fixtures and more than the basic satellite TV package. The a/c unit worked like a charm and there was never any issue with running out of hot water at any time. The room was always super clean and freshly stocked with new towels and bathroom amenities. The service was great. Any interaction with the staff was pleasant and quick. For those worried about security/safety, the motel is neatly built so there is only one entrance/exit. Spotlights light up the enclosed parking lot at night and the windows are all facing the parking lot. It may provide an additional sense of security to those worried about the location. I've read many reviews saying this is located in a bad part of town with "thugs" and drug dealers. I did not find that to be the case. Many people were walking on the streets and there were cars lined on both sides of the streets in the neighborhoods. I come from a smaller town and just assumed that was normal for the amount of people crammed into this gigantic city. I didn't find there to be any risk or safety concerns while we were out and about. The only issue we had was the stiffness of the bed and the size of the room being on the small side. This made it interesting when trying to get our toddler down for bed. We expected a bit larger room for the price but other than that the motel was great. Overall, this was a great experience and I would not hesitate to stay here again should we return to this area for a visit.

Great place. Quiet atmosphere. No gated parking but the extra cameras and lighting outside helps with the security. Comfy bed and clean room plus the AC works great and an included mini fridge is always a plus for the queen room. With a 10 min drive to the beach would recommend.

Owners are amazing. Was running late called the motel and the guy stayed at the front desk window till I got there after hours. Even though your in the city you drive into and are enclosed with the motel. Felt very safe at night. Super quiet at all times. The housekeeper leaves you alone, unless you request full turndown services for your length of stay. Watched them pull and wash all bedding including the comforter after wash guest stay. Bed was comfy, they have direct TV too. Place was clean, quiet and highly recommend for the price. The neighborhood where it's located at isn't the greatest but being enclosed, well lit and under surveillance made things enjoyable. Deft one of my go to places to stay in LA. Convenient location to most places. Few miles to santa Monica, universal, the fourm, coloseum, usc, the metro train and hollywood to name a few.

Good. Rooms are clean. It's a bit hard to get your car out tho. It's not located in the best of neighborhood. Staff was friendly. I had to be switched out to another room because the TV didn't work, but my stay for three days was good.
